happy halloween from my lil dino!

Chocolate? No, I'm a good mom! It's dirt. I seriously took my eyes away for a second to review the pics Brian took and there he was- munching on the dirt. Hahaa... crazy kid.

We had a good halloween. We went to Babies R Us this morning and got BabyBoy2's crib set. This is the crib set I wanted with Parker but Brian refused. So luckily we're having a boy so he can enjoy it now!!
And then we went to Pottery Barn Kids and got a costume for BabyBoy2 next year!
It's a giraffe and it was 75% off!
Once Daddy got home we ate our halloween calzones that we have every year
&& then we watched Garfield's Halloween Show.

i knew this day would come...

I walked into the living room and this is what I saw: Either Parker decided he's a nudist....
Or he discovered how to take of his diaper.

I hope its the latter.

If you look really close you can see the two laterals growing in on the bottom. He's been a cranky little boy because of those teeth. There're also huge bumps in the back and I can tell his first yr molars are starting to really move up into their places. Poor boy getting practically six teeth at the same time!
I love him so much. I could not imagine life without him, that's for sure.

Green Baby Update:

This pic was taken a while ago (when cloth-ing was just an 'idea')

I'm proud to announce that we are full time cloth-ers! We have been doing it for about 3 weeks now... and we've saved so much money already! I love cloth. It's funny because now when we use a disposable (very rarely) I feel like I'm wrappin his precious little bum with newspaper.

And we're saving even more bc we handwash them. It is a LOT of work. But it's totally worth it!

I'm seriously shocked but we're excited.

Hopefully Parker and this baby will be best friends.

As far as names go, we're pretty stumped. Brian likes Oliver. I'm totally clueless.... I was really thinking it was gonna be a girl so I didn't think of a lot of boy names..... its gonna be a long process to convice me. At least we have about 4 months to decide.

Parker got a lot of great stuff- a bounce and spin pony that plugs into the tv, a play remote, a play phone, the little people farm and tractor, some board books, a ball, and a lot of clothes for spring/summer! =]

My beloved Parker,

It all started in the middle of a blizzard on Valentines Day in 2007. I took a pregnancy test and lo and behold, we found out you were going to join our family!

After being diagnosed 'boarderline gestational diabetic' I found out I would be induced to have you. That means that they made mommy go into labor. After being sealed as a family for time and all eternity on Oct 16th, I was induced Oct 17th at 7:30am. You were finally born Oct 18, 2007, at 6:38pm. You were born by emergency c-section and you weren't breathing. Once they got you breathing, you were treated for fluid on the lungs and jaundice. Mommy was very scared but she was also in a lot of pain from surgery. You weighed 7lbs 8oz and 19 3/4inches long. Mommy finally saw you and got to hold you the next night at 11pm. Mommy tried nursing you and you didn't want anything to do with it!

You, my baby boy, have taught me so much in this one year you have been with us. You have taught me the power of love. I can't even express how much I love you. Everyday you do something different and you amaze me. I love the fact that I can finally be a stay at home mommy and take care of you and watch you grow. You are the best job I ever had! =]

Parker can take like 6 steps at a time now. I'm trying to record it on my camera but of course I can't. I have never seen a 1yr old with so much stinkin energy. I should record him in action!!

Question:

How do you get a 1 yr old to stop doing things?
Just a couple examples- Parker wants to pull plugs out of the wall, he rips my glasses off my face (but no one elses), and he pinches me. I just can't get him to stop. I'm seriously at my witts end......

it's official! i am the worlds worst baker!!!!! maybe brian will make the real cakes for parker's birthday....

yeah, its definately a little too 'brown' ( i had the oven on 350 instead of 325 like it was supposed to be) and yeah, just not up to par. my baking never comes out good..... =[
