Sono Update

The placenta has moved away from the cervix... it is also firmly attached (no longer see it curving up- away from uterus)... Sonographer didn't even look "down there" on baby. ;) Sorry, it's still a surprise! :)That is one heck-of-a cute kid!

Easter Egg Tutorial

I have had tons of requests for this -- so I made a quick tutorial. Let me know if you have any questions.
Collect ties. All ties must be 100% silk.... Thrift stores always have a great funky selection.

Cut up pieces of cotton. We used an old bedsheet.

Cut ties and take apart. Wrap egg in tie and cut tie. We usually get about 3-4 eggs out of 1 tie.
Wrap RAW EGG in silk (print side facing egg) and then cotton. Secure with rubber band or twist tie.

Put eggs in Enamel or Glass pot. Fill with water to completely cover eggs.

Add 3 TBS of vinegar to water.

Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 30-40min.

Run eggs under cold water until cool.

Once cooled-- unwrap and enjoy! If desired- rub with veggie oil on paper towel to make eggs shiney.

Parker goes to the dentist!

Carter horded all the waiting room toys... Don't worry- they were the only kids there at the time.

Parker was a little nervous (as you can see) but he did great!! Dr Bunker just looked at his teeth for his pre-k paperwork. What a big boy I have!! :) Love you Parker!!

It's A....

BABY!

We didn't find out the sex at our anatomy scan today. :)

There are a couple things that they want to keep an eye on. I have to have a repeat sono in 4weeks.

1- there's an extra lobe on my placenta that is curling up/not attached
2- my placenta is low and if it doesn't move i could have a cs
3- transverse baby (tons of time to change positions!)
4- measuring 20w 3d head and 19w 1d body for an average of 19w 4d
so they might change my DD if i'm measuring consistant bc i've been measuring with my LMP date. which is what i've thought all along. :)

One of my favorite things is when I ask him to count something (like 3 apples).
He says - pointing to each... 5,6,7
I ask him to count them again.

Carter. You need to start at 1 when you're counting. Can you try again?
