My Mother's Day didn't go exactly as planned, but it was awesome! :)
I got to "sleep in" and when I went to get in the shower, I noticed a text from a doula client.... she'd been having contractions since 11pm. Mother's day baby?
After I got out of the shower, Parker wanted me to open his gift from school. It was ADORABLE. It was all about MOM.... Did you know I am 81 yrs old with red eyes and red hair? Yeah, me either. On the other side was a poem about little hands with Parker's handprints. I nearly cried.
At church I gave a talk about "teaching our children to understand".... I was glad I was able to give the talk because I thought I was going to have to miss it for the birth!
After I quickly taught my primary lesson-- I changed and headed to the hospital. I arrived to the hospital at 12:30pm...
5:16pm I helped to welcome a beautiful baby boy and celebrated a mother's first Mother's Day! It was so special.
After, I visited my friend Daisy (who had broken her leg days before) and brought her a corsage from church and some other little gifts. I read her my talk-- I didn't want her to miss out. ;)
Parker made me this cupcake at the JoAnn make and take on Saturday.
Carter made this for Mommy (along with a cookie that he later ate) in Nursery!
What a special day it was. I am so blessed!!!!!!!
